Introducing: Lavender Pages Project
It's giving Books. Gay. Mutual aids. Abolition.
Thanks for subscribing & joining us on our journey to get books to queer & trans people inside prison around the UK.
When we heard Books Beyond Bars was closing a few months back we got thinking about how & if we could get books and other printed materials to incarcerated LGBTQIA+ folks. And so we got started on the Lavender Pages Project.
We are very grateful & deeply appreciative of all the wonderful work that BBB did over the years and their invaluable support, insights, and instagram account!
The Lavender Pages project will take on a different format. LGBTQIA+ people in prison who sign up will receive books four times a year. It’s very gay & abolitionist & we’d love your support along the way.
We are organisers of a range of different backgrounds, age, & genders with years of experience & we know we will have many things to learn along the way & we will continue to listen to our community inside & outside to do things the best way we can for everyone involved.

Are you a queer person inside who loves reading or know someone who is? Drop us an email or a physical letter (Lavender Pages, PO BOX 66754, London, WC1A 9BF)! We will follow up with an intake form & info about the project.
Are you a lovely human with limited capacity & energy but passionate about books & supporting queer & trans people in prison in the UK? Come to a book mail out party where will be…packing some books to send inside! We will be announcing dates soon (spoiler, they will be happening in London).

One last thing: We are & will *always* stay volunteer run & never intend to turn any profits from the Lavender Pages Project. Allow a few days for us to have time to back to you.
